Can I put apps on this like my Netflix, Hulu, etc? Or is this simply a large digital calendar?
Cozyla Calendar has the capability to download apps for streaming your faves. These include the big names like Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc... You can also connect to your TV box via HDMI cable. It is a great little thing to have around the home/office.
Can I use this as an extended monitor?
Yes. You can connect a device to the Cozyla using a wired HDMI/USB cable, or a wireless cast mirroring. Cozyla Calendar has an HDMI in and a USB-C port to connect to your desktop/laptop or favorite gaming consoles.

The customizable home screen is one of my favorite features. I can organize my tasks exactly how I want—whether it's meal planning, kids' homework, or grocery shopping lists. It syncs seamlessly with everyone's schedules, so I no longer have to remind my daughter about her gymnastics practices or school assignments. Plus, the recurring to-do list feature makes it so easy to stay on top of regular tasks without re-entering them every week.
I installed the 22" version in landscape orientation under one of our kitchen cabinets. I am very impressed with its quality and features. The ability to install any Android app creates so many possibilities for customization. My only negative is that some apps force portrait orientation when opened. This does not affect dashboard views but becomes a problem when opening critical apps. I am also having trouble getting Nova Launcher to work with FamilyWall but I am hoping to find a solution soon.
I've been eyeing two significant competitors for a couple of years now, and you probably know which ones. However, I never made a decision because I'm a tech nerd and have some fantastic apps that help me manage my life. The other options in the market didn't offer any integration or customization options. I didn't want to be stuck with proprietary software and wait for years for new features that may or may not be useful.

Although I'm an Apple girl, this calendar doesn't have to be my primary device; it just needs to function well enough to keep my family organized. And it does its job perfectly! I already love my Cozyla! It is nice having all of our calendars in one place for the whole family to see. I installed Google Calendar on it and sync all our calendars from iPhone. You can even download all the apps you want from the Google play store.
